Adam Howell is an elementary physical education teacher in Bend, Oregon. A graduate of Central Michigan and Portland State University, he founded PHYSEDagogy in February 2013 and is a member of the #PhysEdSummit team. His educational passions include empowering teacher leadership that drives sustainable change, creating inclusive physical education spaces that develop student agency, and continuing to fight for the end to the “Yes, buts” in education; He strives to shatter stereotypes of physical education and health teachers everywhere through this lens. He is the former president of Oregon SHAPE.
