My love for teaching physical education exploded after my first student teaching experience at The Salisbury School, a K-12 school on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It was there I learned the importance of innovation, passion, and relationships in a situation tailor made for a nineteen year old kid trying to find his way. After earning my bachelors degree in Physical Education from Salisbury University, I went back home to teach in Prince George’s County, the eighteenth largest school district in America. Since then I have earned my masters from McDaniel College. Spending seven years at Whitehall Elementary School, I know the amazing role that each of us play in the lives of our students. My professional journey since my days as a student teacher haven’t always been smooth. Yet the bumps in the road have never failed to provide me with irreplaceable learning opportunities. I look forward to continuing the learning process through the wonderful online #physed community.
